Raggasession 15th anniversary

Last Saturday, June 1st, 2019, the 11th edition of “Jamaican Vybz” and the 15th anniversary of the Raggasessions took place, at the Usine / PTR, in Geneva.

On the line up where Natty Gong, Irina Mossi, Cali P, Kill Babylon Sound, Zion Gate Sound, Little Lion Sound (Geneva) and 420 ‘Sound (Australian).

Hosted by Nicolas (Little Lion Sound), the party started at 11:00 pm with Kill Babylon Sound playing some early juggling while people slowly entered the venue.

420 Sound brought the Australian vibe spinning a full Reggae set. Lion Gate made the dancehall fans take themselves to the dance floor. They dropped Dancehall hits, while more people arrived.

Roots reggae sound Little Lion kept the energy going, selecting more Reggae music.
It was time for French reggae artist Natty Gong from Mauritius to grace the stage. His, crossing genres from Reggae to Dancehall, was full of energy.

Irina Mossi graced the stage just afterward, backed by Mehdi from Straight Sound. She presented new tunes that she recorded earlier this year in Jamaica. Her set also included the new single, that is soon to be released called “Mother”. As the only female artist on the lineup, she represented the ladies properly. The crowd was enchanted, by her voice and her stage presence.

Finally, the headliner Cali P stepped on stage, also backed by Straight Sound. He left a big impression on the patrons, performing hit after hit, including songs from his new project called “Vizion I” and the hit single produced by Bobby Konders called “Cuddle Up”. His energy was up, he made the crowd dance and skank to his rhythm.

After the concert, the sound systems continued the vibe taking turn spinning the hottest Reggae, Dancehall, Afrobeat and Hip Hop/R&B tunes until the party was over at 5:00 am.

It was a wonderful event. Big up to Raggasessions and Jamaican Vybz.
