Tommy Lee Sparta To Suit The Government For Earnings Lost Due To His Scamming Case
The attorney representing entertainer Tommy Lee Sparta says he will be filing an action against the state, to recover monies lost by the artiste, as a result of the just concluded lottery scamming case against him.
This, after Tommy Lee Sparta, whose real name is Leroy Russell, was freed of lottery scamming-related charges in the home circuit court, today (December 20).
The entertainer’s attorney, Ernest Smith, says his client, and co-accused, O’brian Smith, were freed of the charges of possession of identity information, and unlawful use of premises.
The prosecution had argued, that the men were involved in lottery scamming after allegations by the police that in February 2014, a raid at premises occupied by the men, revealed lottery-scamming paraphernalia.
Ernest Smith successfully argued, that the prosecution had no case against his client and that the case should be dismissed.
Mr. Smith says actions by the police caused his client to lose out on millions in earnings, and steps will be taken to recover those monies.
