Photographer Patrick Planter recently had his work display at an art exhibition in Geneva Switzerland, hosted by Experience Jamaica.
The event was attended by art lover from across the country. We spoke with Patrick to get a feedback of the exhibition.
“As this was my first Exhibition outside Jamaica. I was well accepted by the viewers and the comments from everyone were heartwarming… I was really touched by some of the comments honestly“ he said.
Patrick explained “there was no theme, but one of the person that was there was saying, he noticed a lot of my work is rustic and touching, from the story behind them. I think my solo exhibitions in the future will be having a theme“.
He elaborated then “I’ve always been a lover of art from I was a child growing up cause my father was a welder so he use to draw a lot of his work, mother also into art, so art in general run thru me“.
He continued “I must say the feeling was very overwhelming. What even made my night the ambassador of Jamaica, both past and present, were there to view my work and encourage me to keep on pushing the Jamaican culture in Fine Art photography“.
Mr Planter is planning to have more display of his fine art in the near future.
