“His argument is inaccurate,” says Penthouse Records producer Donovan Germain after Beres Hammond said he has never received a royalty statement from a producer.
Last Tuesday, Beres Hammond was doing an interview outside of Jamaica to promote his newly released album “Never Ending” when he made the shocking revelation.
Donovan Germain who initially said “no comment,” is revealing that he has several documents to prove the lover’s rock guru wrong. The Penthouse Records CEO further states that Beres Hammond should have said some producers instead of generalizing.
Beres Hammond whose career began in the 1970’s has worked with producers such as Willie Lindo, Joe Gibbs, and Donovan Germain.
“Beres Hammond formed his record label, Harmony Records in 1985; before he recorded the dancehall hit “Tempted to Touch” with producer Donovan Germain for Penthouse Records in 1990.
