PSOJ Implore Government Collaboration To Develop Inner City Communities Impacted By SOE
The Private Sector Organization of Jamaica (PSOJ) is imploring the Government to collaborate with the sector in an effort to develop inner city communities impacted by the State of Emergency (SOE) in Kingston and St. Andrew.
A State of Emergency was declared (September 23) within specified boundaries surrounding parts of the Kingston Central, Kingston Western and St. Andrew South Police Divisions.
President of the PSOJ, Howard Mitchell, says it can be beneficial, if plans are carefully crafted to stimulate the minds of people within the communities.
In addition Mr. Mitchell points out that it is also a good time for the government to look at issues surrounding the Coronation Market in Downtown Kingston, as the market has the potential to become a great tourist attraction.
