Jamaica and US hold bi-lateral talks on issues affecting both countries

bi-lateralPrime Minister Andrew Holness and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson held bi-lateral talks this afternoon on a number of key issues affecting the US and Jamaica.

Mr. Tillerson made a working visit to the island, the final stop in a multi-nation tour of the Caribbean and Latin America.

Both men hailed the talks as being frank and fruitful, covering a wide range of issues of importance to both countries.

Prime Minister Holness says the talks reflected the country’s long and productive relationship with the US and underscores the vibrant partnership between the two countries.

Mr. Tillerson says the stop in Jamaica is critical, because of the closeness between the two countries.
