Jamaican music producer Donald Grant better known as Danny Champagne, will be
buried today November 2, 20116 after a service of thanksgiving at the Swallowfield
Chapel at 1 p.m.

Danny Champagne passed away two weeks ago as a result of complications from a stroke he suffered in 2013. He was 65 years old.

Champagne was a popular figure on the entertainment scene. His

Dancehall artiste D’Angel’s ‘Downtown Girl’ was produced by Champagne.

Danny Champagne is also credited with giving vocal group Voice Mail
its first number one single, producing ‘Weh Di Time’ and the follow-up
hit ‘Ready to Party’.
