Three Children And Two adult Shot Dead, House Burned In Spanish Town

A large deployment of police are presently in March Pen Road in Spanish Town, St Catherine, following the killing of five members of one family and the burning of their dwelling house this morning Oct. 5, 2016.

The victims of the fire have been identified as: two-year-old Koyandra
; nine-year-old Revaughn Evans; 22-year-old Venisha Bartley;
24-year-old Salesha Evans and 14-year old Marvin Campbell Jr.

It reported that sometime after 3 a.m., explosions were heard inside the yard where the family resides. 

Checks later revealed the five were shot by unknown persons.

The incident has resulted in people saying it is caused by gang fighting for turf in the Old Capital. 

The latest incident has resulted in a massive police presence along the March Pen Road area.

The police confirmed that for the last three consecutive weekends there have been acts of arson along March Pen Road.

The incident has resulted in business operators expressing “dark days” in their investment as persons are not stopping in Spanish Town. 

The St Catherine Major Investigative Taskforce is probing the matter.
