German / Jamaican tennis player Dustin Brown has been drawn on the same side of the bracket as British no.1 Andy Murray in the men’s singles competition at this year’s Wimbledon championship at the All England Club.

Brown, who was handed a wild card entry, will open his account against Serbia’s Dusan Lajovic in the first round.

Victory against laconic would see him going on to face the winner of the match between Australia’s Nick Kyrgios and Radek Stepanek of the Czech Republic.

Murray, who is seeded second faces an all British showdown against wildcard Liam Broady.

Other top names on that side of the draw include 4th seed Stanislas Wawrinka, 7th seed Richard Gasquet, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Fernando Verdasco, Tomas Berdych and Juan Martin Del Potro.

Defending champion Novak Djokovic meanwhile is on the other side of the bracket and could third seed Roger Federer in the semifinals.

Djokovic is set to open against British wildcard James Ward, while Federer plays Argentina’s Guido Pella.

In the women’s draw defending champion Serena Williams will begin her campaign against a qualifier while second seed Garbine Muguruza, fresh from winning the French Open, faces Italy’s Camila Giorgi in round one.
