VYBZ KARTEL TRIAL: Forensic Investigator Says Bloodstains Found At Entertainer’s Home DAY 4

Vybz Kartel

A forensic investigator is now on the stand in the Vybz Kartel murder trial.

The investigator has testified that he found bloodstains at the
entertainer’s home in Havendale, St Andrew where Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams
was allegedly beaten before being killed on August 16, 2011.

Kartel and four other men are on trial for the murder in the Home Circuit Court.

Detective Constable Avril Thomas from the Major Investigation
Taskforce (MIT) has testified to processing a scene at the four-bedroom
house on 7 Swallowfield Avenue, Havendale, St Andrew as part of
investigations.

He said Superintendent Michael Phipps, who heads the MIT had given him instructions and pointed out the dwelling to him.

The detective told the court he found spots of blood on a door-jam in one of the rooms and watermarks on the floor.

Meanwhile, under cross-examination by defense lawyers this morning,
the sister of the deceased said following an incident at her home on
Sunday August 14, 2011, she instructed her brother to leave the
community of Waterford in Portmore.

She also testified to assisting him to leave.

Pressed by defense lawyer, Pierre Rogers, the woman said when she
spoke to her brother on the Monday, she did not know where he was at
that point.

She said she later found out on Tuesday that he was in Waterford.

Asked if she was scared about her brother’s whereabouts, she began to cry and said she only wanted to know that he was alive.

When she was re-examined by prosecutor, Leighton Morris, she said she gave her brother $3,000 to assist him to leave Waterford.

Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, is jointly charged with
fellow entertainer Shawn Campbell, popularly known as Shawn Storm, André
St John, Shane Williams and Kahira Jones.

A fifth co-accused, fashion designer Calvin Haye, was released
yesterday after the prosecution said they found no evidence against him.
