Irina Mossi Love Detective


“SHAQ1” a name given to him by his older cousin
‘Dego’. Birth name ‘Shaquille Hoshane Brown’ was born at The Kingston
Jubilee Hospital, Kingston Jamaica, on September 17, 1997 the brainchild
of Audrey and Curtis Brown. He was raised at 38 Alexander Road Kingston
13, where he founded a talent group called “DIAMOND FAMILY” a name he
got from his father Curtis ‘Diamond’ Brown, consisting of numerous
relatives and friends. Eleven years later he and his family moved to
Newlands Portmore St.Catherine, where he met his motivator ‘Mr. Easy
Young’ who influences him in working harder towards his music career
and together they propelled ‘THE SHAQDEM BRAND’.
He continues his
musical career and schooling while going to the Melrose Primary And
Junior High School where he later on did his Grade Six Achievement
Test(GSAT) and successfully passed for Excelsior High School, which he
is still attending and now in fourth form. With a very strong parental
support at the age of Six the young SHAQ1 determined for success in
pursuing a career in music began to remix every song he heard. Every
weekend he would be performing on his elderly friend sound system High
Quality, which he became very popular in his community(kgn 13) by the
very tender age of Seven(7). He has performed with many of the popular
artists such as Beenie Man, Vybz Kartel, I Octane, G Whizz, D Angel just
to name a few and appears on stage shows like March Out 08, Portland
Jerk Fest, 

Jamworld, Family Fundays etc. At the age of 12 he approached
producer Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell who was impressed by his intelligent
stature, where he recorded his first song titled ‘One Day’ under
Downsound Records on the V.S.O.P Riddim which became a hit in many
inner-city communities which he then began recording a number of other
tracks. At aged 15 he was introduced to Sikka Rymes and T.357 Records by
his manager Don Forde. After he have met Sikka Rymes in less than a
week he went back to the studio which they both created a song on spot
titled “Veteran Galiss” where they competed about who had more girls
and the video was shot the following week. SHAQ1 songs: One Day, Jah
Jah, Money Money, Guns No More etc are now playing regularly on
Jamaican radio stations and sound systems across the island. 
The young
Dancehall/Reggae Star is currently working on a number of singles under
T.357 Records which his fans can look out for very soon. The Shaqdem
Team as been recieving numerous calls from promoters worldwide for bookings.
