HYA P BIOGRAPHY

Hya-P aka Parrot, was born in Jamaica. He has always been a lover of music and from a tender age he enjoyed singing along to other people’s music, trying to play instruments and also making music of his own, he did this as a hobby with friends and family and always tried to be around music at every given opportunity.
Back in the days Dennis Brown and Gregory Isaacs were his idols. Even though music was just a hobby for him, he always wished of having a ‘Hit’ song like them.

Hya P found many ways of survival within Jamaica and after a while he was lucky to get the break to travel to various countries such as Canada, America and the Cayman Islands, during this time he again found himself surrounded by music, singing and entertaining people at different parties and gigs. People encouraged Hya-P to take his singing more seriously.

In the year 2000-2001 Hya-P decided to get more involved in the music business he decided to form a record label which he named ‘Heights of Heights’, voicing artist for his recording label such as Luciano, Capleton, Richie Spice, Half Pint, Tristan Palmer, George Nooks, General B, Ghost and many more. Hya P also collaborated with various artist such as General B, Baby Wayne, Ruddie Irie at this time he had success with ‘NAH GO PAR WID NON A DEM’ featuring Norris Man. Hya-p started getting bookings for stage shows appearing on many stage shows with artists such as Beres Hammond, Half Pint, Lust, 5th Element and Monster Shock. In 2007 he toured Europe supporting Robert Lee. Hya-P had built a strong loyal fan base and in 2009, he released his debut album ‘TRUE VIZION’, which featured many of his hit singles such as SEE IT LONG TIME , WINEY WINEY, GAL YU A HAPPEN featuring Pamputae, NAR PAR WID NON A DEM, and many more. Hya-P continued to be in high demand for stage shows in and around the UK performing on the same stage as Movado, Bounty Killer, I Octane, and many more.

Hya-P is an artist with natural lyrical content and stage show presence, to entertain people all over the world. Right now ‘JAH-JAH BLESS ME’ along with ‘GOOD MORNING’, featuring Lutan Fyah are two of his ‘BIGGEST HITS’ and can be heard currently playing on all the airwaves in the UK and across Europe and in clubs up and down the country.Hes about to release his next album ,’Jah Jah Bless Me’ and has released a single Better muss Come a re do of a Delroy Wilson song which is getting extensive air play.
